In time

Last night, I watch an interesting movie, In time (2011). In an imaginary age where people life span can be obviously seen on their arms and everything in the the society can only be exchanged by their time. At 20 years of age, the clock starts to run. People never get old, they’re gonna die when 13 numbers on the clock run off to zero. People who are rich in time can live their youth for thousands years. Poor people are always in rush to get more time to sustain their life. People are like machines, they’re gonna just stop breathing when their time is up. The idea was great but in my opinion the storywas not so great. It could have been done better. When their life is counted by day, hour, minute and second, people can’t move so slow by cars or buses.

What are you gonna feel and what are you gonna do when you time is up? I haven’t in such situation but I think I’d be panic a bit. The death (in the movie) wasn’t too scary so I think I might sit still and look at the clock ticking till the end.

I’ve recently spent more time on Instagram, an app for sharing pics. It’s really easy to share pics around you every time you want. If you join the network, please add me at bunnywithrose.

  1. Yes, that film came out here a few weeks ago here. I didn’t see it but rather wish that I had. It’s a similar broad idea as was in the 1976 film ‘Logan’s Run’ where no one is allowed to get beyond 30 years of age. Most of the people in that futuristic age accept it but, of course, not all (otherwise there wouldn’t have been a story.!) You might care to have a look for it if you’re intrigued by the idea.

Lovely pictures, Tai – especially the roses. I’m guessing that those black chillies (if that’s what they are) are hot as hell.

    • Excuse my mis-type, Tai . First paragraph, last line – ‘your’ should have been ‘you’re’. (You see, even those of us with English as our ‘mother tongue’ so often slip up.)

      • Not to worry about the mis-type, I’m gonna fix it for you. I’ve just found Logan’s Run (1976) on a torrent network. I might load it next week.
Yes Ray, the violet chili is super hot. I’ve never tried it  when it ripped, its skin is a mixture of violet and red.

        • Good heavens! I had no idea it was possible to alter another blogger’s comments. With unscrupulous bloggers it must then be possible to make them appear to be saying what you want them to say. Not sure I’d like that. But at least you are one I CAN trust, Tai.

I like chillies but it sounds as though for this one a large carafe of iced water on the side would be needed. Actually, at my age, it would be too risky to experiment with ‘untried’ foodstuffs, so I’ll just enjoy the sight.

          • Yes Ray, that’s that  I have all rights to control over my personal blog.
I only edit comments when the owners tell me otherwise I do nothing. I have email addresses of commenters here so I can alert them before I unapprove their inappropriate comments.

            • Very interesting indeed, Tai. Good that you have the ability to do it but I prefer to manage without

              • They are useful tools for us to deal with spams too :)

  2. It was an odd movie but I really like it.

    • Oh Cubby, I haven’t seen you blogging for a while. Hope you had a great time back then.

  3. Time goes too quickly for me!

    • It goes the same pace for everyone but obviously you have more things to do than me
